Hi there!

This is the submission for the Cybersecurity Game Jam 2021; the theme was "good passwords and bad passwords".

Please use Chrome or Edge browser to play

Instructions

  • WASD to move
  • move to PCs to hack passwords - amount of locks indicate strength of password and time required to guess password
  • You should avoid obstacles while you hack passwords (such as the nerdy IT Administrator on the left side, or the random guy walking from PC to PC)
  • If you restart a level, there is a chance that the difficulty will decrease/increase as the password strenght is randomly set each time - so if you lose a few times, just keep trying :)
  • The box colliders of the PCs are pretty big, you don't need to stand right over the PCs (you can stand besides it, to make it easier)

Interpretation of the theme

Grounded - you play a young teenager being grounded; the parents locked the family PC with a password; without problems, you manage to guess the password and your journey begins - from guessing the family PC password to sneaking into the school's library to the ultimate test of your abilities: The NSA server!

Moral of the story: Make it harder for people to guess your password and have a bit of fun playing. Not the hardest or longest game, but I had fun doing it and enjoyed doing all assets by myself in about 5 days (art, sound, code, etc.)

Handcrafted with love;

I love how the story of the game goes. A little bit of improvement on the UI can be done. Besides that, Well done! :)
